I'm so sorry to hear about your latest PSA test. It felt like a real gut punch hearing this.
I have an upcoming PSA test and my anxiety surrounding these tests have led me to start taking an anti-anxiety drug, prescribed by my Fred Hutch Psychiatrist.
I hope you have a fun and relaxing vacation. I love reading on vacation.
I'm so grateful for your heartfelt note. Managing the anxiety is as hard as any of the cancer battles we fight, and I too let drugs help me. Best of luck in the upcoming test and all the ones after.
Thanks also for your vacation wishes -- I'm already thinking about my reading list!
Perhaps the " Reversal of Fortune " is not for you but a reversal of fortune for the cancer that thinks it can hide out from the law. Now it must face the consequence of the AnCan group ganging up on it, perhaps a delicious lethal cocktail of an intermittent drug therapy and spiritual prayer. Adopt the mind set that you will not let cancer get away with showing it's face again; dare another mugshot be taken. Thank you for sharing this and we will be praying for you. Have fun at the lake with bon fires and family.
Thank you, Tony! I love "dare another mugshot be taken." You're totally right -- the cancer has to get past not just me but our entire AnCan crowd of tough survivors. Thank you for your prayers. I'll be thinking of you from the serenity of the lake.
Oh well. It’s not like you didn’t believe that this day might occur, but it does suck anyway. Next week, I have my fourth PSMA PET scan at DFCI looking for where the PCa has seeded and is probably growing. My PSA has risen to .76 since my SRT in 10/22 with a .014 PSA following that radiation. Now, we both will wait and wonder. My last PSMA PET revealed nothing visible to act upon. I hope your PSA rises ever so slowly. Each day above ground is a gift. Don’t fall down, and good luck.
Thank you, Jeff. The lack of clarity for you must be frustrating. I do agree, a slow rise that keeps the hormone therapy in play would not be bad at all. Appreciate your comments!
